I spent my day last Saturday riding the fourth & final century of the Kentucky Century Challenge around Elizabethtown, KY doing the Hub City Tour. It went extremely well! I felt strong through the entire ride and avoided any legs cramps. At least until the four hour drive home afterwards! My nephew Randy joined me on this one and completed his very first century. Way to go Randy! The weather was cloudy and cool most of the ride but we had to deal with a pretty constant 10 mph wind coming from the North West. So I accomplished the goal I set for this year and will receive the coveted jersey. Next year my goal is to do a 400 mile ride in Canada from Toronto to Montreal. I’ve never been to Canada, so I’m looking forward to it!

Spent the day with the wife and our best friends riding bikes on the trails around Xenia, Ohio. Wonderful leisurely day!
Had a great time this past Sunday riding the 75 mile Tri-County Trail cookie ride with my riding buddies, Kevin, Randy, Tammy & Brian. The weather was overcast but the rain held off and clouds kept things from feeling too uncomfortable. Tammie and Brian split off and did the 50 mile course. I have to hand it to Brian! He’s one tough cookie! 50 miles on a hybrid using flat pedals! Kevin, Randy & Brian each set distance records for themselves. Randy says he’s going to join me in September at the Hub City century. It will be nice having a partner and not having to do it alone.
