I had the pleasure of seeing one of my favorite singer-songwriters tonight, Kim Taylor and I’m happy to personally know her. Kim put on a show doing songs from her new album, Songs of Instruction, which I feel is her best work to date. Every song is absolutely beautiful. We traveled to Cincinnati with nine of our friends and had a great evening. You should check out Kim’s website at https://www.kim-taylor.net and discover this great artists music.
The wife and I made our way up to Columbus on Sunday to knock another band off our bucket list. We had never seen the Eagles live before and though it would have been nice to have seen the original members, it was still a fantastic concert. Vince Gill and Decon Frye fit right in and the harmonies were mind blowing! They did several Joe Walsh numbers including a rendition of the James Gang Funk #49 with a horn arrangement that gave me chills. I hope when I’m 70 I’m still able to rock like these guys!
Spent last night at Big Sandy Arena watching and rocking to a fantasic four hour concert. Don Felder followed by STYX followed by REO Speedwagon. We had some pretty good seats too! All these guys can still rock! It’s going to be a great weekend of music. We are heading to Columbus on Sunday to see the Eagles!
